We came to the Yorkshire Dales in 2017 with the idea of creating a glamping site, having lived and worked around London for the past 20 years. With much work and imagination we finally have our planning permission, work is progressing and we open 24th May 2019.
Over the last year we have been welcoming visitors to stay at our holiday cottage on the farm West Shaw Cote Cottage, we've learned how to look after pigs and chickens, dug ourselves out when 'the beast from the east ' struck, raised a new born lamb by the aga and hatched chicks. All in all its been quite a journey and we're now looking forward to welcoming our first Glamping guests

WEST SHAW COTE FARM
West Shaw Cote Farm is a former dairy farm located 3.5 miles from Hawes and 2.5 miles from Askrigg On Low Abbotside in Upper Wensleydale in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The Farm and 27 acres of land was bought by the current owners in 2017.
We want you to enjoy your stay with us, included in the price are towels, bedding, a starter pack of wood, your choice of breakfast bought to you in your Yurt, tea coffee and milk.
All of our yurts are dog friendly, we do ask that you wipe muddy paws before entering the yurt and please keep dogs on a lead around the yurt field, we have three meadows nearby and try to keep one where dogs can run free.

“Our first Glamping experience loved it ! The yurt was so cosy (despite some proper Yorkshire weather) and comfy to come back to after a hard day on the bikes. Local wildlife was great (esp for our 2 yr old). Even had regular visits from the amazing barn owls. Hot tub was fantastic and just the right size for the 3 of us and champagne at midnight under a moonlit clear sky!
Jo and Steve were the ultimate hosts , warm, welcoming and so very helpful. We wish them all the best in their Yorkshire ventures”

Yurt is cosy with all the luxuries, but still an adventure rather than a hotel.
