OUR STORY
We came to the Yorkshire Dales in 2017 with the idea of creating a glamping site, having lived and worked around London for the past 20 years. With much work and imagination we finally have our planning permission, work is progressing and we open 24th May 2019.
Over the last year we have been welcoming visitors to stay at our holiday cottage on the farm West Shaw Cote Cottage, we've learned how to look after pigs and chickens, dug ourselves out when 'the beast from the east ' struck, raised a new born lamb by the aga and hatched chicks. All in all its been quite a journey and we're now looking forward to welcoming our first Glamping guests

Walks and Waterfalls
Famous for its rolling hills and numerous waterfalls the dales has some fantastic walking. Whether you decide to challenge yourself to the Yorkshire three peaks of Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen-y-ghent ( just a 30 minute drive from Cherish Glamping) or opt for leaving the car and taking the footpath to Askrigg or Hawes there's a route for everyone. Here's a few of our favourites.
If you fancy a challenge the Yorkshire 3 Peaks could be for you , of course followed but a soak in your hot tub when you get back to your yurt. Follow this link for the Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge map .

One of our favourite walks from the site is along the footpath that runs to the back of the barn to mill gill waterfall and Askrigg. This also forms part of the herriot way and Lady Ann'es way , for more information on this long distance path please click on the link below
